Question- How many MPs are elected by the public in the Lok Sabha?

Answer- 550 MPs are elected by the public in the Lower House of the Indian Parliament / Lok Sabha. Apart from these, 2 MPs are elected by the President to represent Anglo-Indians– Although this procedure has been amended, it is no longer followed in the Lok Sabha.

This Quiz competition is being conducted by Digital Baal Mela as a part of its campaign- Bacchon Ki Sarkar Kaisi Ho. Following the DBM Guideline, 2 children will be selected for the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Special Children’s Session from all the children participating in this quiz competition. It is worth noting that the answers given by the children will be valid only if it’s given
within one hour of the quiz being live.

Under this campaign a special Children’s Session will be organized in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly on 12th June. HP Speaker Mr. Kuldeep Singh Pathania has given this big opportunity to the children. Children are being made aware of Indian politics and democratic institutions under this campaign. 68 children of the country will participate in the Shimla Children’s Session and will put their grievances and problems in front of the government.
