Jaipur| Organized by Digital Baal Mela and sponsored by LIC “Bacchon ki Sarkar Kaisi Ho?” – Under the campaign, on June 12, Himachal Pradesh witnessed the historic Baal Satra. In this special session of the house , held in Shimla Vidhansabha Bhawan, the question hour proceedings were at the end, when in the last question, the opposition raised eyebrows on the increasing parking problem in the state. In the last question, the member of the opposition and child MLA from Shimla, Nivedita Justa, asked what efforts are being made by the department to eliminate or reduce the increasing parking problem in the state and she also demanded the details from the minister of the said department to be placed on the floor of the house.
The answer to this was given in the House by the Child Public Transport Minister and the selected candidate from Ghumarwin, Riza Sheikh. Addressing the house, she told that parking facilities are already made available by the state government .Along with this, the construction of new buildings is being done according to the laws of the city administration. In this, construction of parking is made mandatory in the buildings made for industry.
Priya Sharma, the co-founder of Digital Baal Mela and host of this special Baal Satra said that Himachal Pradesh, being a hilly state, is facing the problem of parking, as well as it is crowded with tourists throughout the year. In such a situation, the people of the state have to face many kinds of problems. Due to parking problem, traffic problem also increases in major cities like Shimla.
For your information, let us tell you that 68 child MLAs participated in this children’s session held on 12th of June on the occasion of ” World Day against Child Labour”. Of these, 58 child legislators got a chance to speak in the House and put forward their views .
