On June 12, the state witnessed a historic Children’s Session presided over by the Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. For this special session, 68 children were selected from across the country, the process of which lasted for a total of three months. “Child representatives” were seen raising their voices on child issues in Shimla Vidhansabha Bhawan. Arpit Chaudhary, studying in GBSSS, Nadaun, was also selected for this session, in which he played the role of the MLA of the opposition.
Arpit had sent his entry to the Digital Baal Mela in which he presented his claim for the Chief Minister’s post. He told that if he becomes the Chief Minister, he will bring a wave of progress. He said that – “I will serve the country with my body, mind and wealth”.
In this session, the Chief Minister of the state Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu was present as the Chief Guest and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Mr. Harivansh Singh witnessed this session as the Special Guest. The special thing of this session was that the children played the role of Chief Minister, Leader-Opposition, Speaker and MLAs and ran the state assembly for a day.
