Jaipur. On 12 June, the state witnessed a historic Children’s Session presided over by the Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. For this special session, 68 children were selected from across the country, the process of which lasted for a total of three months. The “Child Representative” was seen vocalizing his voice on child issues in the Vidhansabha Bhawan in Shimla. Pratibha, who is studying in Manali was also selected for this session in which she played the role of the MLA of the opposition.
Pratibha suggested to the government under Rule 324 that – “Our country India has recorded the highest population record in the world with 141 crore people. This would be a matter of great pride and honor for some people but Perhaps they do not know that this is the biggest hindrance in the development of India. Mr. Chairman, because more population means more use of resources, less employment, etc. In such a situation, shouldn’t the government come up with a policy to control the growing population? Can go….”In this session, Chief Minister of the state Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Mr. Harivansh Narayan Singh as special guests attended the session. The special thing about this session was that the children played the role of Chief Minister, Leader-Opposition, Speaker, and all the posts and ran the state assembly for a day.
