Jaipur. On 12 June, the state witnessed a historic Children’s Session presided over by the Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. For this special session, 68 children were selected from across the country, the process of which lasted for a total of three months. The “Child Representative” was seen vocalizing his voice on child issues in the Vidhansabha Bhawan located in Shimla. Shalini Thakur, studying in GSSs Panjgain, Bilaspur, was also selected as the MLA of the opposition for this session.
Shalini, who was sitting in the opposition, asked a question to the government – “What work is being done by the Finance Department in the direction of eliminating the debt of 75,000 crores on the state? Also, the state government has recently restored OPS, in such a situation, with so much debt, won’t the government’s implementation of this scheme deepen the already ongoing financial crisis in the department? Will the department after implementing OPS Is any work being done to prevent the unnecessary amount being spent by government employees?
Finance Minister Faizan gave the answer to this question of Shalini.
In this session, Chief Minister of the state Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Mr. Harivansh Narayan Singh attended as a special guest. The special thing about this session was that the children played the role of Chief Minister, Leader-Opposition, Speaker, and all the posts and ran the state assembly for a day.
