Know about the history of this day
The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization decided to celebrate World Audiovisual Heritage Day on 27 October 2005 with the aim of protecting audiovisual media heritage like film TV radio photo print.
India’s first National Cultural Audiovisual Archives has been created at the Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts, in which audio and visuals of different cultural and art of India are being collected online. Its purpose is to identify the cultural heritage present in India and store them through audio-visual medium.
