Jaipur| To strengthen democracy in India, there cannot be a better day than the 15th of August. On the occasion of the completion of 75 years of independence, the new campaign of Digital Baal Mela and UNICEF was flagged off by the Minister of Women and Child Development, Smt. Mamta Bhupesh by releasing its poster. The first of its kind campaign will be run in Rajasthan under the name “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch”.While releasing this poster, Mrs. Bhupesh said that “Digital Baal Mela had earlier given children a chance to become MLAs and now they will have an opportunity to be a Baal Sarpanch. Through this, they will take command and be active participants in democracy. What can be better news on Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, than this? The future generations of the country have a key role to play in strengthening our democracy. Janhvi Sharma and Priya Sharma, who started the Digital Baal Mela, were also present along with Mrs.Bhupesh at the time of the poster release.
For your information, let us tell you that under this campaign, Baal Mela will reach the children of the rural areas of Rajasthan, and will make them aware of the Panchayati Raj system. Children will be introduced to the stalwarts and main characters of Rajasthan politics. In this program, children will be told about their rights and duties in Panchayati Raj. Children will be made aware of the advantages and importance of this key link to our democracy. It is worth mentioning that Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr. CP Joshi had allowed children to organize the special Baal Vidhan Sabha on November 14, 2021, to increase the political awareness of children.
