Jaiur| Today is a significant day in the history of India, as India observes its 75th Independence Day. Today India, irrigated by the blood and sweat of brave freedom fighters, is emerging as a world guru. India is known in the world for being the largest Democracy; a democracy that gives freedom to every single person of India to think, speak and choose. One of the strongest and most important pillars of Indian Democracy is the system of Panchayati Raj. Today Digital Baal Mela and UNICEF are starting a new campaign to increase the participation of children in this endeavor. The name of this initiative is “Main Bhi Bal Sarpanch”. The purpose of this campaign which is being started on the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is to make children aware of the Panchayati Raj system. This campaign will make the children aware of rural areas and about the importance of the Panchayati Raj system. Under this campaign, Digital Baal Mela and UNICEF will make the little children aware of democracy, their rights, and duties.

Under this campaign, Digital Baal Mela along with UNICEF will connect every village of Rajasthan through an online platform and will introduce the children to the pivotal and renowned faces associated with the politics of Rajasthan. Not only this but many online competitions will also be organized for the children, under which the children will have to tell how the government can make the Panchayati Raj system more efficient or any such suggestion that can bring a significant change in this system.

Based on these suggestions, Baal Sarpanch will be elected from rural areas of Rajasthan who will play the role of Panch in a historic session. For your information, let us tell you that Digital Baal Mela organized the first Children’s Assembly in the history of India in 2021 whose opportunity was given to the children by the Assembly Speaker of Rajasthan Dr.C.P. Joshi.
