In this democracy, children do not have the right to vote, but for this reason, it is not right to listen to them or deny their participation. Children go ahead and become your future voters, in such a situation, they should also get a platform to put their point and issues related to them, and if any democratic system proves to be unsuccessful in doing this then it is responsible for the murder of democracy.
It has been advocated by Digital Baal Mela and UNICEF under the “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign. By conceptualizing “Baal Mitra” Panchayat in this campaign. Efforts will be made to make your gram panchayat friendly toward children. Such a Panchayat in which children can express their views, in which the children’s views are heard. The Sarpanch or Secretary of this Panchayat should listen to the child and every possible solution should be given to their problems. Child participation should be promoted in Panchayat. If your Panchayat is successful in doing this, then your Panchayat will be given the title of “Baal Mitra”.
For your information, let us tell you that this is the second attempt of Digital Baal Mela to increase the political awareness of children. Earlier DBM had made children aware of the legislative system. Not only this but after selecting these 200 children based on the video, Rajasthan Children’s Session was also organized. The opportunity of this session was given to the children by the Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Dr. CP Joshi.
