“Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” is a unique campaign started by Digital Baal Mela. The motive of this campaign is to raise awareness among kids of villages about Panchayati Raj in India. The Panchayati Raj system was established for the smooth functioning of the governance system in the rural areas of the country. Arrangements have been made for the Ministry of Panchayati Raj in the country at the central level as well as at the state levels. So it is natural that there are some differences between them.
Jaipur. The Panchayati Raj system was established to run the governance smoothly in all the villages of the country and to take care and fulfill the primary needs of the rural people. As we all know, every system in the country is implemented at the central level as well as at the state levels. This also applies to the Panchayati Raj system. Although the work of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, both at the central and state level, is to ensure the smooth functioning of the Panchayati system. But just as there are differences between twins, there are differences in the functions and powers of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj at the central and state levels. Let’s take a look at some of these differences.
Jurisdiction
All the Panchayats in the country come under the jurisdiction of the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj. But only the Panchayats of the respective state come under the jurisdiction of the State Panchayati Raj Ministry.
Appointment
The Union Minister of Panchayati Raj is appointed by the Prime Minister of the country. Whereas the State Panchayati Raj Minister is appointed by the Chief Minister of the state.

Dependency
The Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj is not dependent on any state in any way. But the State Ministry of Panchayati Raj depends on the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj for many important schemes and grants.
Accountability
The Union Panchayati Raj Minister is answerable only to the Prime Minister. In contrast, the State Panchayati Raj Minister is accountable to the Chief Minister as well as the Union Minister of Panchayati Raj. In such situation, if the State Panchayati Raj Minister is called the junior of the Union Panchayati Raj Minister, then it will not be wrong.
