Digital Baal Mela’s innovative campaign “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” is officially launched from Barangana, Nagaur, today on 2nd October. On this occasion, Rajasthan UNICEF Chief Isabel Bardem was also present as the chief guest and addressed the program as well.
Jaipur. Panchayati Raj was first started on 2nd October 1959 in Nagaur district of Rajasthan. Today, after 63 years, history was once again written in Nagaur, and entire country became a witness of it. Digital Baal Mela’s innovative campaign “Main Bhi Bal Sarpanch” is officially launched today from Barangana, Nagaur. On this occasion, Barangana Sarpanch Hanuman Chaudhary, Nagaur Collector Peeyush Samariya and Rajasthan UNICEF Chief Isabel Bardem were also present as chief guests. Isabel Bardem launched the official poster of “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign, as well as addressed everyone in the program about this campaign.
What did Isabel Bardem say?
Isabel Bardem first thanked everyone present at the event for being there. Describing the suggestions given by the children in “Baal Panchayat” as interesting, she described it as a beginning of change. Isabel Bardem told that the work of the children selected in the “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign will not end with only the Baal Panchayat. They have to go to their community and talk to the children and get to know their problems as well, so that other children will also have the right to participate in this innovative campaign. Describing the Gram Panchayat as the smallest level of government instead of just Panchayat, she said that the participation of children at the village level is important. She also told that while coming to this program, she came to know that the convoy of Panchayati Raj had started from Nagaur itself. Therefore, there can be no better place than Nagaur to start “Main Bhi Baal Panchayat”. Along with this, she also expressed confidence to take this campaign to all over the Rajasthan.
