“Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign was officially launched on Sunday, 2nd October. A “Baal Panchayat” was also organised on this occasion by Digital Baal Mela.
Jaipur. On October 2nd, a historic beginning once again took place on the land of Nagaur. Digital Baal Mela officially launched an innovative campaign for children called “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” in association with UNICEF. Nothing could have been better than a “Baal Panchayat” to make that occasion even more special to launch this unique campaign for children.
Bal Panchayat was organised in Barangana
“Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign started with a “Baal Panchayat” in Barangana, Nagaur. About 250 children took part in this Baal Panchayat, where they learned about Panchayati Raj and “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign. Along with this, they also got an opportunity to present their claim for the post of “Baal Sarpanch”. A total of 16 children candidates presented their claim for this and told that if they were the Sarpanch, how would they work for the solution of the problems and development works of their area. All the children present in the panchayat were given a chance to vote live for their favourite candidates. When the counting of these votes is completed, candidate with the most votes will be elected as the “Baal Sarpanch” of Barangana. The selected Baal Sarpanch will get an opportunity to participate in the state level program as well as be involved in the panchayats of their area.
