A “Baal Panchayat” was also organised on this occasion and similarly, in the coming time, Baal Panchayats will be organised in different districts as well under this campaign. Although this campaign is initially for the children, Sarpanch of the villages can also play a significant role in it. Let’s get to know how they can do it.

For effective implementation of “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign, Sarpanches can play a significant role. Under this campaign, it is necessary for the Sarpanches to ensure that “Baal Panchayats” are organised in their villages. At the same time, Sarpanches should also make efforts for maximum child participation in those Baal Panchayats. They should make more and more children of their village aware of this campaign by connecting them and ensure their “education, activism and participation”. Along with this, Sarpanches can also make an important contribution by making their Gram Panchayats “Baal Mitra Panchayat” (child friendly panchayats) for the children. This will give importance to the voice of the children in panchayats and their suggestions will also beheard. This will also increase the interest of children towards Panchayati Raj system and their participation in the country’s democracy will increase as well.
