An innovative campaign of Digital Baal Mela called “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” arrived in Rajawas village of Jaipur on 8th October. On this occasion, a “Baal Panchayat” was organised in Rajawas, in which a new record was made.
Jaipur. On 2nd October 1959, for the first time in modern India, Panchayati Raj was started from Nagaur district of Rajasthan. Exactly 63 years after this, on October 2nd, 2022, “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign has officially been started from Barangana, Nagaur of Rajasthan. 6 days later, this campaign reached Rajawas village in Jaipur on 8th October. Digital Baal Mela has joined hands with UNICEF for this innovative campaign for children. A “Baal Panchayat” was also organised for the children on this occasion, in which, Sarpanch of Rajawas Minakshi Meena attended as the chief guest.
New record made in Rajawas
A new record has been made in the “Baal Panchayat” organised for the children in Rajawas. More than 400 children from 5 schools participated in this Baal Panchayat, which is a new attendance record. They learned about Panchayati Raj and “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign there. Along with this, they also got an opportunity to present their claim for the post of “Baal Sarpanch”. A total of 36 children presented their claim for this and told that if they were the Sarpanch, how would they work for the solution of the problems and development works of their area. All the children present in the panchayat were given a chance to vote live for their favourite candidates. When the counting of these votes is completed, candidate with the most votes will be elected as the “Baal Sarpanch” of Rajawas. The selected Baal Sarpanch will get an opportunity to participate in the state level program as well as be involved in the panchayats of their area.
