This past Saturday, a Baal Panchayat was organised in Rajawas under “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign. In this, many “Baal Sarpanch” candidates got less than the fixed percentage of votes.
Jaipur. Under Digital Baal Mela’s innovative campaign “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch”, a Baal Panchayat was also organised in Rajawas village of Jaipur on Saturday, 8th October. In this Baal Panchayat for children, interested children were also given a chance to present their claim for the post of “Baal Sarpanch” from Rajawas area. Live voting took place for this. More than 400 children were present in this Baal Panchayat, out of which 381 children cast their votes. There were 36 candidates for the post of Baal Sarpanch. In such situation, it is natural that many candidates would have gotten very few votes.
Many candidates did not get even a single vote
Although there was no provision of any kind of security amount in this Baal Sarpanch live voting. So those candidates who did not get even 1/6th of the total 381 votes, were considered in “jamanat jabt” category without any amount. You will be surprised to know that out of 36 candidates, only 2 candidates got 1/6th or more of the total votes. Another 34 candidates got less than the fixed percentage (16.66%) of the votes. There were 28 candidates who did not cross the double figure. There were 11 candidates who did not even get a single vote.
