Digital Baal Mela’s innovative campaign “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” arrived yesterday on 15th October in Kajra village of Jhunjhunu. On this occasion, a “Baal Panchayat” was also organised in Kajra.
Jaipur. On 2nd October 1959, for the first time in modern India, Panchayati Raj was started from Nagaur district of Rajasthan. Exactly 63 years after this, on October 2nd 2022, “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign officially started from Barangana in Nagaur, Rajasthan. After this, the campaign reached Rajawas village of Jaipur on 8th October and then on 15th October, this campaign reached Kajra village of Jhunjhunu. Digital Baal Mela has joined hands with UNICEF for this innovative campaign for children. A “Baal Panchayat” was also organised for the children on this occasion, in which, Manju Tanwar, Sarpanch of Kajra, attended as the chief guest. Along with her, Pilani SHO Ranjit Sevada and Surajgarh SHO Mukesh Kumar also attended as chief guests.
Shekhawati shows leadership spirit
Over 200 children from 5 schools participated in “Baal Panchayat” organised by Digital Baal Mela in Kajra. A “Baal Sarpanch” competition was also organised for these children. In this, 10 children presented their claim for the “Baal Sarpanch” and told that if they were Sarpanch, what would they do to bring change in their area and solve the problems. When Abhishek Shekhawat, a candudate for the post of Baal Sarpanch, started speaking, everyone from Sarpanch to teachers were stunned. This 12th class boy opened the eyes of the people on the important issues of the village. Apart from this, other candidates also put issues like sports stadium, smooth operation of canal, power supply, etc. in front of everyone. For these candidates, other children present in the panchayat did live voting for and voted for their favourite candidate. Candidate on the basis of maximum number of votes will be elected as “Bal Sarpanch” from Kajra and will get a chance to sit and speak in future Panchayats. Not only this, he/her will also get an opportunity to participate in the state level program. Second position candidate will be elected as Bal Up-Sarpanch and third position candidate will be elected as Bal Panch.
