‘Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch’, an innovative campaign of Digital Baal Mela, arrived in Chardhana village of Baran, today on 5th November.
Jaipur. After going to 6 villages of the state in a month, ‘Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch’ campaign arrived in Chardana village of Baran district today. This is the first time that this campaign has entered the Kota division. Digital Baal Mela has joined hands with UNICEF for this campaign. Village Sarpanch Krishna Murari Dilawar, Principal Chandri Bai, Balaji Development Committee President Chhotulal Meena, SDMC committee member Naval Kishore Sharma, CWC Chairman Omprakash Mehta, Social activists Ramesh Vaishnav and Satyanarayan Gurjar attended this program as chief guests.
Baal Panchayat was organised
A ‘Baal Panchayat’ was also organised for children of the village by Digital Baal Mela under ‘Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch’ campaign. More than 200 children of village actively participated in it. In this Baal Panchayat, they got to learn about the Panchayati Raj system of the state, work of Sarpanch, participation in democracy at the village level, this campaign’s motive, etc. Not only this, a ‘Baal Sarpanch’ competition was also organised for these children. In this, some children presented their claim for it and told about the problems of their village. They also told how would they have worked if they were Sarpanch. Live voting was done by other children for these child candidates, on the basis of which, child with the highest number of votes, will be elected as Baal Sarpanch. He/she will get a chance to participate in upcoming Panchayats of their village and give suggestions as well. Not only this, they will also get an opportunity to participate in the state level program of Digital Baal Mela. Second place child candidate will be elected as Baal Up-Sarpanch and the third place candidate will be elected as Baal Panch.
