Jaipur| An online session was held on 15th December under the campaign “Main Bhi Bal Sarpanch” started by Digital Baal Mela and UNICEF. In this session held through Google Meet, former Education Minister and Health Minister and 7-time MLA from Malviya Nagar Kalicharan Saraf was present, who talked about the challenges faced by children from student politics to veteran politicians and told stories related to his student politics. These children also included 30 “child representatives” from Rajasthan.
In this session held at 5 pm, the children also put their questions in front of the chief guest. Some of the questions are-
Question 1– What is your opinion on the fact that nowadays youths are resorting to violence or violent demonstrations to make a place in student politics?
Answer – You cannot call those who are protesting fiercely as students and these people can enter politics, but the public will not allow them to survive for a long time.
Question 2– How can a young leader convey his work to the public?
Answer– If your work has been done with sincerity and goodwill, then you will not need to convey the work to anyone, your work will speak for itself.
Question 3– What did you do to enter politics and what has been your journey?
Answer – I came to politics as the president of student union, after which I also started working for my assembly constituency and contested the assembly elections for the first time in 1985, in which I won, even after that I lost the election only once till date. When I started being so active in politics, I was made the education minister and health minister of Rajasthan.
For your information, let us tell you that this session was conducted by Priya Sharma of the 12th class, who was supported by Jitesh Dudi, Lalita Babal, Niharika Sharma, and Nehal Jain from time to time. Janhvi Sharma, the innovator of Digital Baal Mela was also present in this session along with other children, who told that Digital Baal Mela has organized 3 more such sessions in the past week, in which Phulera MLA, Nokha MLA, Kishangarh MLA were associated with the children.
