Jaipur. Digital Baal Mela and UNICEF took a step forward to ensure child participation in Rajasthan last evening. Under the three-day “Baal Sarpanch Convention”, the children presented their manifesto to the Government Secretary, Rural Development Mrs. Manju Rajpal. In this manifesto, the children drew the attention of the government to fulfill their basic needs.

In the manifesto, 8 issues were kept by the children: playgrounds, parks, drinking water supply, girl education, cleanliness, clean toilets, and availability of sports resources in gram panchayats. This is the basic needs of the children who were raised by the children in every “Baal Panchayat” and also it is their right.

For your information, let us tell you that this manifesto has been presented by Rajasthan’s 30 “child representatives”. Janhvi Sharma of Digital Baal Mela told that these “child representatives” are selected from 10 “child panchayats” in 9 assembly constituencies of 8 districts of 7 Divisions of Rajasthan. Not only this, the one who selected them and sent them to this convention is none other than their child companions. Significantly, along with presenting the manifesto, these children also visited the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and its museum.
