Jaipur | In the three-day “Baal Sarpanch” session, organized under the “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign, the children got an opportunity to meet many stalwarts and to visit Vidhansabha Museum. Where on the one hand the child representatives present in this convention increased political awareness by reaching the Vidhansabha Museum, they also got a chance to interact with stalwarts like Government Secretary Rural Development, Manju Rajpal, Adama Chief Executive Officer Raj Narayan Sharma.
As part of this convention, children reached Apno Rajasthan on 25th December, where Anand Poddar, Chairman of Poddar Group of Education interacted with the children and Raj Narayan Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of ADMA told them about the rights of children in the Panchayati Raj system. Anjana Sharma from Future Society and Additional District Collector of Jaipur City Amrita Choudhary were present along with the children on this occasion.
In this “Children’s Convention” organized at the Digital Baal Mela, where the children saw the famous Albert Hall of Pink City, they were also taken to the Panchayati Raj Bhavan and Vidhansabha Museum on 26th December. From this visit, the children have explained the social history as well as the political history of Rajasthan.
“Child representatives” from all the divisions of Rajasthan also presented their basic “Suggestion Letter” to Manju Rajpal, Secretary, Rural Development, on the same day. This basic needs letter included the issues raised by these “child representatives” and their fellow child claimants to ensure a safe childhood.
In the three-day “Children’s Convention” on December 27, the “Child Representatives” were made to meet the Children’s Commission Chairperson Sangeeta Beniwal. On this occasion, the children understood their rights and understood the functioning of the Children’s Commission Department. The “Child Representatives” also presented the signed “Suggestion Letter” to the President Sangeeta Beniwal, which included topics like sports, drinking water, education, cleanliness. Janhvi Sharma from Digital Baal Mela and Ravita Sharma from Future Society were also present on the occasion who presented a memento of “Me Bhi Baal Sarpanch” to Chairman Beniwal.
