Jaipur: The “Baal Sarpanchs” selected in the “Baal Panchayats” organized across the state by the Digital Baal Mela will soon become part of the monthly meetings organized in the Gram Panchayats. These meetings are organized on the 5th and 20th of every month. These are the Baal Sarpanchs who have been elected by the children of their Gram Panchayat through the actual process of Voting The sarpanches of those gram panchayats had promised to include these children in the meetings of the gram panchayats with them. Now, soon these Baal Sarpanchs will represent the children of their village and raise their problems as well as put their suggestions in front of everyone.
It is noteworthy that the Digital Baal Mela had organized Baal Panchayats in different parts of the state and elected “Baal Sarpanch”, “Baal Up-Sarpanch” and “Baal Punch”. In these “Baal Panchayats”, the local sarpanches had promised these children that these “Baal Pratinidhis” would represent the children by being a part of the Gram Panchayat meetings.
It is also worth mentioning that the “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign has been started by Digital Baal Mela and UNICEF from 15 August 2022. Even before this, the Digital Bal Mela has organized a historic children’s session on 14 November 2021 to increase the political understanding of children. Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Dr. CP Joshi gave this historic opportunity to the children.
