Jaipur| There are more than 30 lakh women in the state of Himachal Pradesh but only 1 woman MLA . The single Woman MLA is responsible for representing all the women in the legislative assembly of Himachal. In such a situation, Kashish, the elected child MLA from Shri Renuka Ji showed her concern towards the political participation of women and presented her suggestion to the government under Rule 324.
Addressing the Deputy Speaker of the Baal Satra , Raghav Kalla , she told that the reservation given to women at the Panchayati level is nothing but a mirage. This is just a pretense in the name of women empowerment, in such a situation it is necessary for the government to try to bring women forward in politics. She also said in her address that if democracy is unable to provide rights and full participation to half of the population of this country, then such democracy is not acceptable from the point of view of women.
Janhvi Sharma, the founder of Digital Baal Mela, told that in this special assembly of children was held on 12th of June . Out of the total selected 68 child legislators, 40 were girls . This proves that women are very keen to participate in politics and play an active role in decision making .
