On Sunday, May 21, the candidates of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly “Baal Satra” learned the importance of legal education in politics. This was an opportunity organized by Digital Baal Mela, the special dialogue session held under the campaign, ‘Bachhon Ki Sarkar Kaisi Ho’ Where the youngest MLA of Himachal Pradesh Vidhansabha Shri Chaitanya Sharma joined the children from all over the country as the chief guest. In this session, he discussed with the child claimants on the topic “Legal maneuvers in politics, and coordination and challenges in youth enthusiasm”.

Gagret MLA Chaitanya Sharma said what?

In the beginning of this session held at noon, Gagret MLA Chaitanya Sharma shared some stories of his early days of politics and personal life with the children and told how he came into politics. Along with this, he said that for the development of democracy and being an aware citizen, children must read the constitution at least once or must be aware of parts 3 and 4 of the constitution. Children from Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh were present in this session. The children present in the session asked their respective questions to the chief guest and got to know their answers.

Some questions asked by the children-

Question- Anushka Bushahri from Himachal asked who makes the law in India and how does the law work?
Answer- Responding to this, MLA Chaitanya Sharma said that it is the responsibility of the country’s parliament and the state assembly to make laws. The executive looks after the work of maintaining law and order, while the judiciary decides the punishment of the culprits in case of violation of the law. All these pillars of democracy are bound by the Constitution of India and work under it only.

Question- Kamakhya Kaundal from Himachal wanted to know Gagret MLA’s views on the politics of bulldozers and encounters in Uttar Pradesh?
Answer- Answering this question, young MLA Chaitanya Sharma told that though I am MLA from Himachal Pradesh and Himachal is a peace loving state, but it may be that the Uttar Pradesh government has had to adopt the politics of bulldozers and encounters due to increasing anarchy in its state. Along with this, in our state today drug addiction is dominating, for this our government is also taking strict steps. In such a situation, questioning the Uttar Pradesh government is futile and the judiciary there has to decide whether this step is wrong or right.

Significantly, impressed by this question, MLA Chaitanya Sharma declared Kamakhya Kaundal as the leader of the session. In the session, the chief guest described the Digital Baal Mela as a commendable effort to make children aware of politics and to give a platform for expression to the children and extended his best wishes.
