Here are some tips on how children should remain stress free during examination days.
Shivaksh Sharma.
The months of February and March are very stressful for students of class 10th and 12th. At this time, they have their board exams, due to which they lock themselves in their homes and get lost in books.
The examination period is going to start in a few days. Along with board exams, exams for other classes are also going to start in many schools soon. In such a situation, children start feeling constant pressure due to the examination environment. Often, trying to get good results in exams and living up to the expectations of parents or teachers becomes a cause of stress in children.
Let us know some tips to reduce exam stress:
Start prepared well in advance.
Start studying much before the exam starts. With this you will be able to complete your syllabus without rushing. You have to divide your syllabus into small and manageable sessions so that you will be able to finish it easily. Create a slot for all the subjects and ensure that you give equal time to all. Solve mock tests, practice papers to know your preparation.
Try to keep yourself fresh.
Do deep breathing exercises to calm your mind and body. Take slow and deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth. Take some time to meditate every day. Let your thoughts come and go without any negative thoughts. Practicing yoga can help reduce stress and increase relaxation. Include yoga postures, such as Child’s Pose, Seated Forward Pose, in your daily routine. Focus on your breathing as you move through each pose, so you can feel good.
Try to keep yourself organized.
It is very important to remain organized during exam preparation to reduce last-minute anxiety. Keep reading materials, notes, and resources handy to maximize focus and productivity. When your things are too disorganized, you may get distracted more. Organizing things well saves you time, so you can take breaks and avoid burnout.
Try active learning.
Do not try to memorize any subject, leave this habit. Instead of this you should do active learning. You can do things better by taking notes, teaching others, and answering questions yourself. By doing active learning, you develop a tendency to think and understand, which leads to better performance in exams and you gain more understanding and mastery over the subject matter.
