India is a diverse country . Our democracy is also l vivid , there are different government and different levels and there are many types of elections, today we will know about types of elections. The functioning of the Indian Constitution can be divided into three parts-
First- Center Methodology
Second- State methodology
Third- Village Methodology
Center comprises the the functioning of – President, Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha.
State comprises the functioning of-
Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council.
Village functioning includes –
Zila Parishad, Panchayat Samiti and Gram Panchayat.
A notable thing is that elections are organized for all these bodies but the general public is not made a part of all the elections- General public is a part of the electorate in –
1. General Elections (Lok Sabha Elections)
2. State Assembly Elections
3. Gram Panchayat Elections
In the rest of the elections, the right to vote is held by a particular class of people (teachers, officers, otherwise) or the public representative elected by the public.
