The special Children’s session was organized on June 12th under the chairmanship of honorable Speaker Shri Kuldeep Singh Pathania.

On June 12, the state witnessed a historic Children’s Session presided over by the Speaker of Himachal Pradesh. For this special session, 68 children were selected from across the country, the process of which lasted for a total of three months. “Child representatives” were seen raising their voices on pressing child issues in Shimla Vidhansabha Bhawan. Kamesh, who is studying at Him Sarvodaya Senior Secondary School in Ghumarwin, was also selected for this session and was seen playing the role of an MLA.
Showing excellent performance in the House, under Rule 130 of the House, he raised his demand in front of the government. He said that- “the state government should increase the fleet of electric vehicles in the state by working on the ongoing provision for the use of electric vehicles. This initiative will prove to be the foundation of a better and pollution-free future for our children. Along with this, we should ban the vehicles which have been running in the state for 15 years or more than that. The state must also provide subsidies for electric vehicles to the public and implement the law of one vehicle for one person in every household.
In this session, the Chief Minister of the state Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu was present as the Chief guest, and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Mr. Harivansh Singh as the special guest. The special thing about this session was that the children played the role of Chief Minister, Leader-Opposition, Speaker , and MLAs and ran the state assembly for a day.
