Jaipur| In the Himachal Pradesh Vidhansabha Baal Satra , Child MLA Kamesh put forward his suggestion reflecting his concern towards environmental protection. Kamesh, the selected child MLA from Ghumarwin, proposed before the government for the promotion of electric vehicles in the state. Addressing the House, he said that Himachal’s environment makes it famous among tourists, and so it is necessary for the government to make sure that no harm is done to the environment.

Although electric vehicles are being used in public transportation in the state, but in the coming years, the government should work towards prioritising electric vehicles . With the coming of EVs government buses and vehicles running on diesel and petrol will stop. Along with this, he also suggested that the government must provide subsidies for the promotion of electric vehicles in the state.
On this suggestion given by Kamesh Dogra, the chief guest of this special children’s session, Chief Minister Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, made a big announcement that in the coming 3 years, all the government vehicles of Himachal Pradesh will be electric, as well as the government bus will also be converted into electric bus.
