Kheel’s Sumit Sharma reached Himachal Pradesh Assembly

 An important suggestion given to the government under Rule 324 as the MLA of the opposition

 Jaipur.  On June 12, the state witnessed a historic Children’s Session presided over by the Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly.  For this special session, 68 children were selected from across the country, the process of which lasted for a total of three months.  “Child representatives” were seen raising their voice on child issues in Shimla Vidhansabha Bhavan.  Sumit Sharma of Government Higher Secondary School, Kheel was also selected for this session.  In which he was seen playing the role of the MLA of the opposition.

 Sumit gave important suggestions to the government under Rule 324 of the Prakrit of the Legislative Assembly.  While giving suggestions to the government, Sumit said – “The subject I want to throw light on today under Rule 324 of the procedure is a serious issue, and it is capable of making anyone emotional.  Today is “Child Labour Prohibition Day”, which is celebrated for those children who have to leave their studies from a very young age and go to work.  In today’s time also, poor children are being made to work in dhabas, from begging in the state.  Small children are made to ride mules instead of education, sports in their childhood, dishes are cleaned in hotels and the problem of child labor is even more prevalent in well-known tourist places in the state.  In such a situation, our government should enact strict laws to stop child labour.  Along with this, the government should be alert to strictly follow the laws already made.  The state government should take appropriate action to curb the begging done by the poor children completely, as well as run such a state shelter for the begging children, in which such poor children are given accommodation, food, education, etc. facilities free of cost In this special children’s session organized on the occasion of “World Child Labour Prohibition Day”, he put his issue in front of the government and the society in the session.  In this session, Chief Minister of the state Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Mr. Harivansh Narayan Singh as a special guest attended the session.  The special thing about this session was that the children played the role of Chief Minister, Leader of Opposition, Speaker and all the posts and conducted the state assembly for a day.
