Bhupendra Yadav, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Alwar Lok Sabha constituency, was born on 30 June 1969 in Ajmer. Bhupendra Yadav joined Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh at the age of just seven years. Before entering politics, Yadav practiced law and worked as an advocate in the Supreme Court and also as a government pleader for important commissions. In 2005 he co-authored the book Supreme Court on Forest Conservation, published by Universal Law Publisher. Yadav was appointed as the National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2010. On 4 April 2012, he was elected as Rajya Sabha MP from Rajasthan. He then took charge as the National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2014. Yadav has been the war room strategist behind securing solid victories for his party in Rajasthan (2013), Gujarat (2017), Jharkhand (2014) and assembly elections. In July 2021, Bhupendra Yadav was inducted into the Modi cabinet as Cabinet Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Labor and Employment.
