But it started on 19 August 1982 when the children of Palestine and Lebanon had to fall victim to war violence in Israel’s violence and Palestine had requested the United Nations to take steps in this regard. Keeping this violence in mind, the United Nations General Assembly had decided to celebrate June 4 as the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression.
Purpose of celebrating this day
On August 19, 1982, in a special session on the Palestine question, the United Nations General Assembly decided to celebrate the ‘International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression’ every year on June 4. At this time, Palestine had requested the United Nations General Assembly. This was at the time when children of Palestine and Lebanon had to fall victim to violence in Israel’s violence and keeping that violence in mind, the United Nations General Assembly decided to celebrate June 4 as the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression.
