Prahlad Gunjal, who left BJP and joined Congress, been fielded by the Congress party from Kota Lok Sabha constituency against the current Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
Prahlad Gunjal was born on 30 June 1967 in Dharampura. He has received education up to BA and LLB.
Rajasthan’s prominent leader Prahlad Gunjal has been MLA from Kota North seat in the year 2013-2018 and from Ramganjmandi in the year 2003-2008. He is considered close to former CM Vasundhara Raje Scindia. Prahlad Gunjal is considered a staunch opponent of the current Kota MP Om Birla. For instance, Prahlad Gunjal had also sought ticket in the 2023 assembly elections, but due to not getting the ticket, his political rift with Om Birla increased. This is the reason why he left BJP and joined Congress after almost 40 years. As soon as he joined Congress, he was made a candidate from Kota.
