Congress has made Sangeeta Beniwal its candidate from Pali Lok Sabha seat. She holds an MA degree from Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer and also an LLB degree from Jai Narayan Vyas University, Jodhpur.
Sangeeta has been the District President of Jodhpur Dehat Mahila Congress and twice been the President of State Child Rights Protection. Sangeeta Beniwal is considered to be one of the leaders close to former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. This is the reason why this time Congress has fielded him from Pali Lok Sabha constituency. Sojat, Pali, Marwar Junction, Bali, Sumerpur, Osian, Bhopalgarh and Bilara assembly constituencies come in Pali Lok Sabha constituency.
A unique tradition has been going on in Pali Lok Sabha seat since 1998, under which the Congress candidate becomes MP once for five years. Then BJP candidate for ten years. Following this tradition, this time the number one candidate is Congress.
