The responsibility of this system is to strengthen the roots of India.

In the “Panchayat Samiti” awareness week, we will know today about the geography of Panchayati system in India-
According to the calculation of 2019, there are a total of 6,64,369 villages in India.
These villages are divided into 2,38,054 gram panchayats.
After which these Gram Panchayats have been divided into 7,074 Panchayat Samitis. This Panchayat Samiti is the central part of the Panchayat Raj system.
The topmost tier of the Panchayat Raj system is the Zilla Parishad, there are 640 Zila Parishads in India. Generally Zilla Parishad is found in the district headquarters.
