October 6 is celebrated as ‘World Cerebral Palsy Day’ all over the world. Cerebral palsy is mostly known as CP. It is a type of muscle-related disease, which affects the physical balance of the affected person as well as hinders the development of the brain. Cerebral palsy is placed in the category of disability, because this disease makes the victim disabled in mind and body and eliminates the ability to see, hear, speak and learn. According to experts, this disease is seen in many newborns every year, but there is a great lack of awareness among people about this disease, so October 6 is celebrated every year as ‘World Cerebral Palsy Day’ so that people can be made aware and educated about this disease all over the world.

What is Cerebral Palsy?
Cerebral palsy is a serious disease from which more than 7 million people suffer every year all over the world. Different types of symptoms and problems are seen in the victims of cerebral palsy, due to which it is very difficult to monitor it.

Common symptoms of cerebral palsy are as follows

The symptoms of cerebral palsy can be found differently in every child.– Symptoms of cerebral palsy in a newborn are such as crying less, breathing slowly, not giving any special response to talking and feeding as compared to other children, i.e. the child is not active.– Children between 1 and 3 years of age generally have symptoms of cerebral palsy; the child’s body develops late, starts speaking late as compared to other children, may face difficulty in swallowing food and drinks while eating.

Importance of Cerebral Palsy Day

Cerebral palsy is a very serious disease about which people are not very aware.
