The International Labor Union (ILO) has 187 member countries. ILO has passed many conventions to improve the labor conditions in the world. Moreover, it also keeps giving necessary guidelines on matters like wages, working hours, favorable environment, etc.
In 1973, people’s attention was focused on the minimum age for employment by adopting ILO Convention No. 138. The purpose of which was to increase the minimum age of employment to the member states and eliminate child labor.
