“Baal Sarpanch” from Barangana has been elected by voting in “Baal Panchayat”, organised for the official launch of “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign of Digital Baal Mela.
Jaipur. On October 2nd, 2022, an innovative campaign of Digital Baal Mela called “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” has officially launched from Barangana, Nagaur. A “Baal Panchayat” was also organised on this occasion, in which “Baal Sarpanch” has been elected from Barangana through live voting. This is the first Baal Sarpanch elected under this campaign.
Who was chosen by Baal Panchayat of Barangana?
Around 250 children took part in the “Baal Panchayat” of Barangana under “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign. A total of 16 of those children presented their claim for the “Baal Sarpanch” and told that if they were Sarpanch, how they would have worked for the solution of the problems and development works of their area. All the children present in panchayat were given a chance to vote for their favourite candidate. After the counting of these votes is completed, Yuvraj has been elected as Baal Sarpanch from Barangana with the highest number of votes (73). As a Baal Sarpanch, he will not only get a chance to sit and give suggestions in the Panchayats to be held in his area, but also get a chance to participate in the state level program in future, organised by Digital Baal Mela. Apart from this, Yogendra (60 votes) who came up second has been elected as Baal Up-Sarpanch and Arvind (32 votes) who came up third has been elected as Baal Panch.
