Through ‘Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch’ campaign of Digital Baal Mela, a good effort is being made to make the rural children active towards the democratic system at the village level.
Jaipur. ‘Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch’ campaign is an innovative initiative of Digital Baal Mela and UNICEF. This is the first campaign of its kind in the country, which aims to make rural children aware about the Panchayati Raj system as well as make them active in this field. Children have not only shown activism in Baal Panchayats organised by Digital Baal Mela in many villages of the state, they have shown a lot of enthusiasm towards this campaign and democracy as well.
If activism increases, there will be development
The basic mantra of ‘Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch’ campaign ‘Education, Activism and Participation’ are not just 3 words, It is much more than that. Not only did the children actively participate in Baal Panchayats organised under this campaign, they also did not shy away from talking about the issues of their villages. They also told how they would have worked if they were sarpanches. But this enthusiasm of these children was not limited to Baal Panchayats only. Many children from different villages also made and sent their videos on this topic. This clearly shows the activism of the children. Increasing activism also leads to the development of these children, because the more active these children are, the better they will be able to understand the problems of the village and the better they understand the problems, the better they can contribute to the development of the village. And with the development of the village, the development of the children will also be possible.
