Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch: Jhunjhunu Baal Panchayat District Leader Niharika Sharma calls “Child Participation” important in democracy

Jaipur. Innovative and first of its kind campaign “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” of Digital Baal Mela officially started from Barangana village of Nagaur on 2nd October. After that, 8th October in Rajawas village of Jaipur, 15th October in Kajra village of Jhunjhunu and then 17th October in Rangaisar village of Churu, this event reached there and Digital Baal Mela organised “Baal Panchayat” there for the children. Jhunjhunu Baal Panchayat Leader Niharika Sharma from was also present in Baal Panchayat of Kajra and welcomed everyone and addressed the program.

What did Niharika Sharma say?

Niharika started her address to this program by first talking about children’s session organised for the first time in Rajasthan Legislative Assembly on 14th November 2021 by Digital Baal Mela. Niharika said that the strength of any country depends on the strength of its democracy and democracy will be strong only when the local level government i.e. village government is strong. And for this, Niharika called “Child Participation” important. Niharika further said that under “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign, Digital Baal Mela will inform the children of the village about the Panchayati Raj System, increase their participation in democracy, prepare the future leadership as well as create a dialogue among the leaders of the Gram Panchayat and children. It will also help to break the wall down between children and gram panchayat leaders, so that the voice of the children can be heard and given importance.
