Now after 63 years, once again history is being written in Nagaur through “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign. Under this, a “Baal Panchayat” will also be organised in Barangana, Nagaur.
Jaipur. Most of the people of India know 2nd October as Gandhi Jayanti. But the importance of this day is above Gandhi Jayanti in Indian history. On this day in 1959 in modern India, the country’s first and then Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru first implemented the Panchayati Raj system in Bagdhari village of Nagaur. This day is written in golden letters in Indian history. Now after 63 years, Nagaur is going to rewrite history, and not only Rajasthan, but entire country is going to be witness of it. A unique campaign of Digital Baal Mela and UNICEF “Main Bhi Bal Sarpanch” is going to be officially launched in Barangana Panchayat area of Nagaur. On this occasion, a “Baal Panchayat” will also be organised similar to Gram Panchayat, in Barangana.
What will happen in Barangana Baal Panchayat?
Sarpanch Hanuman Choudhary and Rajasthan UNICEF chief Isabel Bardem will be the chief guests in the “Baal Panchayat” organised in Barangana. In this Panchayat organised for the children, along with giving information about the Panchayati Raj system to the children, information will be given about the functions, rights, functioning of Gram Panchayat etc as well. Children will also get an opportunity to express their views about the problems of their area and their solutions in this Baal Panchayat. They will also get an opportunity to tell that if they become Sarpanch in future, how will they work and what changes they will try to bring in the village. Not only this, a “Baal Sarpanch” competition will also be organised for these children. In this, “Baal Sarpanch” will be selected on the basis of live voting by the children present in the Baal Panchayat. With this process, children will get information about voting and their interest in this field will also increase. “Baal Sarpanch” chosen by the children will also be given an opportunity to sit in the subsequent Panchayats.
