For your information, let us tell you that these children have been selected through the voting ballot process. Which was done in “Baal Panchayats” organized by Digital Baal Mela and UNICEF. These Baal Sarpanchs of their respective villages have been elected by more than 5000 children.
It is worth mentioning that under the “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign, we are trying to increase participation of children in their gram panchayat. Children should be a part of Gram Sabhas, be given a chance to assert their voice, and know the Panchayati Raj system completely. Activism and participation through education is the aim of this campaign.
