Jaipur: “Child representatives” from all the seven divisions of Rajasthan handed over “Child Suggestion Letter” to Smt. Manju Rajpal, Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development, Government of Rajasthan. Mrs. Rajpal was surprised to see the children’s suggestion letter and applauded them. After reading the children’s suggestions, Mrs. Rajpal said – “If I were a politician, this children’s suggestion paper would be my election manifesto.”
This “Child Suggestion Letter” was made by combining some of the basic needs of the issues which were raised by the elected child representatives in the Baal Panchayats held in the seven divisions of Rajasthan while presenting their claims.
For your information, let us tell you that this “Bal Sarpanch Convention” was organized under the campaign “Main Bhi Bal Sarpanch” run by Digital Baal Mela and UNICEF, where children held discussions with veterans of various fields in Jaipur. It is noteworthy that the Digital Baal Mela had earlier organized a historic children’s session on November 14, 2021, in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly to increase the political awareness of children. Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Dr. CP Joshi had given this golden opportunity to the children.
