Every year on the occasion of Independence Day, many programs are organized all over the country. This year too, Independence Day was celebrated in different ways across the country. This time the Government of India launched a “Selfie with Tiranga” campaign, under which all people were appealed to upload their selfies with the tricolor on the website.
On the occasion of 77th Independence Day, this time 1800 people from all over the country participated as special guests in the program organized at Red Fort in Delhi. These guests were not celebrities but common people who are doing excellent work in their respective fields. They include 400 Sarpanchs from 660 Vibrant Villages. Apart from these, 250 people associated with farmers’ production organizations, 50-50 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, 50 Shram Yogis, who contributed to the construction of the Central Vista Project and the new Parliament House, construction of roads on the border. Water supply workers, 50 Khadi workers, 50 workers building Amrit Sarovars and 50 workers working in Har Ghar Jal Yojana, 50 primary school teachers, nurses and fishermen are among the 1800 special guests.
Apart from this, all the states also organized various types of events in the state level programs. PM Modi launched Meri Mati, Mera Desh campaign on Independence Day. The aim of this campaign is to honor the brave freedom fighters of the country. Under this, programs were organized in the memory of freedom fighters across the country. Along with this, the government also launched the tricolor campaign in every house, under which the national flag was hoisted across the country.
This year, on the occasion of Independence Day, the ‘Amrit Mahotsav of Independence’ started by PM Modi on March 12, 2021 from the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad will also conclude. According to information, along with the unfurling of the national flag, the gunners of the elite 8,711 Field Battery (Ceremonial) also fired a 21-gun salute.
