On June 12, the state witnessed a historic Children’s Session presided over by the Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. For this special session, 68 children were selected from across the country, the process of which lasted for a total of three months. “Child representatives” were seen raising their voices on burning child issues in Shimla’s Vidhan Sabha Bhawan. Kamna Sharma, studying in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Reckong Peo, was also selected for this session.
Kamna had sent her entry to the Digital Baal Mela in which she presented her claim for the post of Education Minister. She told that if she becomes the education minister, she will ensure quality education to all the children in the state
Chief Minister of the state Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu blessed the children with his presence in the Baal Satra and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Mr. Harivansh Singh also witnessed the session as a special guest.. The special feature of this session was that the children played the role of Chief Minister, Leader of Opposition, Speaker and MLAs and conducted the proceedings of the state assembly for a day.
