Jaipur | Digital Baal Mela under the aegis of Education Department of Himachal Pradesh successfully conducted the “Baal Satra” on 12th of June . In this special session, the child legislators threw light on all the issues ranging from drugs to education. In the Rule 324 proceedings after the Question Hour, Aditya, the MLA and child candidate from Chamba, suggested digitization of the state’s medical system.
In his suggestion, Aditya said that until the government cannot provide proper medical care to every citizen of the state, the government must provide online facilities like medical counseling. Addressing Deputy Speaker of the house Raghav Kalla, he informed that Himachal State is on the top notch in internet usage. And so , the State Medical Department should make provision for online medical counseling on the lines of private hospitals, so that the villages where doctors can’t go or people who cannot reach hospitals, they could also avail the healthcare facilities. Along with this, the government can also work on other schemes like online purchase of medicines.
Priya Sharma, the co-founder of Digital Baal Mela, told that when this issue was being raised in the House by the opposition, the Health Minister of Himachal Pradesh Mr. Dhani Ram Shandil was also present in this children’s session. She also told that during the registration many children from Himachal Pradesh expressed concern about the medical facilities in the state.
