On June 12th, the special Children’s session was organized in the Vidhansabha Bhawan of Shimla.

On 12th June, the state witnessed a historic Children’s Session presided over by the honorable Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Mr Kuldeep Singh Pathania. For this special session, 68 children were selected from across the country, the process of which lasted for a total of three months. The sleected “child representatives” were seen raising their issues in the Vidhansabha Bhawan located in Shimla. Riza Shaikh, studying in Shimla’s GSSS Tutu School, was also selected for this session, in which she played the role of Urban Development Minister.
Responding to the questions raised by the opposition, Riza said that – “Parking facilities are already being made available by the state government to deal with the parking problem. Also, the parking protocol in newly constructed buildings is being followed as per the rules of the urban administration”.
In this session, the Chief Minister of the state Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu was present as the Chief Guest. Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Mr. Harivansh Narayan Singh also witnessed this session as the Special Guest. The special thing about this session was that the children played the role of Chief Minister, Leader-Opposition, Speaker and MLAs and ran the state assembly for a day.
