Jaipur. Digital Baal Mela and Classmate organised “Shades of Covid” campaign some time back. As part of this campaign, Digital Baal Mela arranged a 30-day painting exhibition. The exhibition concluded on 3rd September at the Government Museum in Ajmer. Children from across the country had sent their paintings for this exhibition and more than 25,000 visitors saw the 30-day Shades of Covid painting exhibition. Ram Jaiswal was one of the special guests for this exhibition on the concluding day. In this article, we will get to know about him.

Ram Jaiswal is a well-known artist of the country. He was born on 5 September 1937 in Shahabad, Mathura. He received his bachelor’s degree from the Government College of Arts and Crafts, Lucknow. He also worked as an artist in Lucknow’s Medical College for 3 years. Radhakamal Mukherjee, then vice-chancellor of Lucknow Vishwa Vidyalaya and Padma Shri awardee, said about Ram Jaiswal, who has been associated with the arts for about 60 years, “His works at the forefront of Indian myths and legends reveal both his literary background and the excellence of the traditional Indian style. His paintings and colors reflect Indian humility and a subtle sense of rhythm.” He also shared his art knowledge with young artists in the “Shades of Covid” painting exhibition.
