A special children’s session was organized in the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly on June 12.

Shimla. On June 12, the state witnessed a historic Children’s Session presided over by the Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. For this special session, 68 children were selected from across the country, the process of which lasted for a total of three months. “Child representatives” were seen raising their voices on child issues in Shimla Vidhan Sabha Bhawan. Karsog’s Smriti was also selected in this session in which she got a chance to become the ruling party’s MLA.
Smriti had sent her entry to the Digital Bal Mela through a video in which Smriti was seen talking about increasing violence against women.
In this session, Chief Minister of the state Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Mr. Harivansh Narayan Singh as special guests attended the session. The special feature of this session was that the children played the role of Chief Minister, Leader-Opposition, Speaker, and all the posts and ran the state assembly for a day.
