Jaipur| On June 12, the state of Himachal Pradesh witnessed a historic Children’s Session, in which 68 child legislators from across the country participated. The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu came as the chief guest in this children’s session organized at Vidhansabha Bhavan, Shimla. Not only this, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Shri Harivansh was also present as a special guest.During the ongoing proceedings under Rule 324 in this session, Child MLA from Solan Shivani Rana raised the issue of stray cattle problem in the state.
Addressing the members present in the House, she told that the problem of stray animals is increasing in the state. These stray animals include dogs, cows, bulls and monkeys. The monkeys harass tourists and ruin the crops of farmers while bulls and dogs scare the common people.
She told that due to stray animals, children are scared to even to come out of their houses. In such a situation, she urged the government to displace the monkeys from the city and leave them in the forests and make a cowshed for bulls and cows.
Priya Sharma, co-founder of Digital Baal Mela told that HP Speaker Shri Kuldeep Singh Pathania presided over this special children’s session. She also told that the Children’s Session held in Himachal Pradesh is the second such session in the country. Before this , the Rajasthan Vidhansabha Baal Satra was organized by Digital Baal Mela . A total of 200 children from all over the country participated in it.
