Jaipur . On June 12, the state witnessed a historic Children’s Session presided over by the Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. For this special session, 68 children were selected from across the country, the process of which lasted for a total of three months. “Child representatives” were seen raising their voice on child issues in Shimla Vidhansabha Bhawan. Vedan Thakur, studying in Durga Public School, Solan, was also selected for this session, in which he played the role of Sports Minister.
Responding to the questions raised by the opposition during the session, Vedan replied that – “The state government is promoting cricket, football, hockey, ice-hockey, golf, badminton, table tennis, kabaddi, tennis, volley-bowl, judo, Along with traditional sports like wrestling, kho-kho, hand ball, it is also promoting exciting sports like paragliding, kayaking, skiing, river rafting, ice-skating, mountain biking, trekking etc. To promote sports in the state and For the encouragement of players, there is a provision of 3 percent quota in state government jobs. In these jobs, provision has been made for direct recruitment in class 3 and class 4 by the state government. Along with this, in Himachal Pradesh Police Recruitment 2023 also 52 sports There is a provision of sports quota for international players.
