Jaipur| This was during an online session organized under the “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign, that Nokha MLA Biharilal Bishnoi had an interaction with the children. He talked to the children on the topic “Administrative Efficiency and Political Challenges” in this session held on 8th December and also shared some moments of his political life with the children. The children present in this session also asked their questions to MLA.
When Janhavi Sharma, the founder of Digital Baal Mela, wanted to know the views of the chief guest on “increasing participation of children in Gram Panchayat through this campaign”, he said that “I have been seeing since last year that digital Baal Mela is trying to ensure the participation of children in politics which is commendable in itself. I could not be a part of the Rajasthan Vidhansabha Children’s Session held in 2021 but I did see it live. The way the Digital Baal Mela made 200 child MLAs sit in the Legislative Assembly of Rajasthan and they put the issues of children in front of everyone, I was very happy to see it.
I would like to thank our Assembly Speaker Dr. C.P. Joshi ji who provided such an opportunity to the children. I heard when he was telling that he had gone abroad on an official visit and he got a chance to see the public meeting there, how surprised he was to see that a child representative was also present there and that there should be such a system in our country as well. I am very happy that your children are learning about politics at such a young age and I hope that after 10 years from today one of you will become a minister, some MLA, and some MP.
For your information, let us tell you that after organizing “Baal Panchayats” in 7 divisions of Rajasthan, now MLAs are made to interact with children. These dialogue sessions are specially attended by the children who have been elected as “Child Representatives” from these “Baal Panchayats”. They are currently preparing for the program to be held at the state level, and are developing their skills by talking to veteran leaders of Rajasthan.
